Here's some of the weapons I created for the upcoming game Dad By The Sword (RocketCat Games). One of the unique challenges with creating these was the fact that the swords could become 'flaccid' and required a CAT rig in 3DS Max to allow for this. The other really interesting challenge was that the 3D "lighting" was achieved all through textures, since the game uses flat lighting on the swords. To do this, each polygon of the sword is assigned a color from a palette, using variations in colors and values to give the object a sense of solidity.
